Carolinas Leadership Academy as a Shelter for Hurricane Florence

The Carolinas Leadership Academy hosted over 60 utility workers from all over assisting Brunswick Electric in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. The CLA was able to provide these workers with showers and a place to sleep. We were happy to help these workers who left the safety of their homes and families to come and help restore power to our area.  Currently, the CLA is being used as an American Red Cross shelter to house 66 individuals and families. These individuals were displaced by the storm and are still unable to return to their houses. The Brunswick Beacon is doing a feature article on these incredible stories in their October 10th publication.
